Football Giants To Speak at Scranton March 30

NFL All-Pro player Joe Erhmann will present “Building a Winning Culture: Living Life from the InSideOut” Wednesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. in The University of Scranton’s Long Center. The free event is sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, the University’s Show Your Stripes Club and the Bochicchio Sports Character Initiative.

The University of Scranton will host “Building a Winning Culture: Living Life from the InSideOut,” featuring former NFL All-Pro player Joe Erhmann, on Wednesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. in the Long Center. Former Philadelphia Eagles General Manager Jim Murray will also speak at the event, which is free of charge and open to the public.

The presentation focuses on the positive culture of sport and the importance of service and community involvement.

The event will include performances by the University’s Dance Team, Urban Beats and a cappella groups Men and Women for Octaves and Royal Harmony. A bake sale, raffles and donations made at the event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton. 

The co-author of “InSideOut Coaching: How Sports Can Transform Lives,” Erhmann is a former defensive lineman for the Baltimore Colts. He has been active in a number of positive coaching initiatives, including Coach for America and the NFL’s Player Engagement Department. He co-founded the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore, Maryland, and is now a minister and motivational speaker.

Murray is a former general manager of the NFL Philadelphia Eagles who is now heavily involved in charitable and service work. He co-founded the first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia.

The event is sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, The University of Scranton Show Your Stripes Club and the Bochicchio Sports Character Initiative.
